Avengers Endgame: Marketing videos to only feature the first 20 minutes of the movie, Kevin Feige REVEALS
Avengers: Endgame is the kind of movie that can easily sell itself without trailers and TV spots. However, we were still left in awe when we got to see the trailer of Avengers 4, which came out last month, along with the revelation of the title of the film. The trailer showed us the state of the remaining Avengers, who are left gutted by the after-effects of Thanos' snap of fingers, in Avengers: Infinity War. But, there was no indication as to how the original Avengers (Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye) were going to defeat Thanos and undo the snap.
While fan theories and rumoured spoilers are aplenty, the Marvel Studios team does not plan to spoil Avengers: Endgame, at all! Besides the fact that we finally got to see a brief glimpse of the two missing characters from Avengers: Infinity War - Hawkeye and Ant-Man, no major spoilers were revealed. This was a conscious decision, as revealed by the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige. There will be one more trailer, a couple of TV spots and featurettes in the coming months, before the release date, and all will feature just the first 15-20 minutes of the movie.
"I’d call it somewhat accurate. As was the case with a lot of our films, this one, in particular, being able to generate a lot of excitement without giving away one of the many, many, many secrets. […] I think the Disney marketing team is the best in the world and we’ll be able to pull it off," Kevin revealed to MTV News.
This is indeed some good news, given how Avengers: Endgame is going to be 3 hours long.
