New Delhi: Fans and Hindi film fraternity were shocked when filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani was accused of sexual harassment by a woman who worked in his blockbuster film ‘Sanju’ as an assistant director. The ‘PK’ director has denied all the allegations against him by issuing a statement. Soon after the news circulated on the internet, TV writer-director Vinta Nanda took to Twitter to react on the same.
Rajkumar Hirani’s name was dropped from producers of Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ amidst the sexual misconduct row.
"I was completely shocked when these allegations were brought to my notice about two months back. I had suggested immediately that it is essential to take this matter to any committee or any legal body. The complainant has chosen to go to the media instead. I want to very strongly state that this is a false, malicious and mischievous story being spread with the sole intention of destroying my reputation," Hirani in his statement said.
