Box office collection: The Accidental Prime Minister gets a decent start at ticket -window
Anup Kher and Akshaye Khanna starrer ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ finally released yesterday and film got good response at the box office despite the clash with URI: The Surgical Strike. However Vicky Kaushal starrer have an upper hand, still, The Accidental Prime Minister managed to Rs 4.50 crore on day 1.
Notable film critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared the box office collection of the film. The Tweet reads,” #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister picked up from evening shows onwards... Records decent numbers on Day 1... Fri ₹ 4.50 cr. India biz. #TAPM. “
Vijay Ratnakar Gutte's is based on the political journey of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh between 2004 – 2014. It Based on the 2014 memoir by Sanjaya Baru. Anupam Kher plays former Prime Minister while Akshaye Khanna plays Sanjay Baru. Besides Anupam and Akshaye, film features Suzanne Bernert as Sonia Gandhi, Aahana Kumra as Priyanka Gandhi and Arjun Mathur as Rahul Gandhi.
On the other hand, URI: The Surgical Strike talks about's India's revenge after several jawans were killed during the Uri attack. It has collected 8.20 crore on Day 1.
